Complete BFT Embedding of Massive Theory with One- and Two-form Gauge Fields

چکیده
We study the constraint structure of the topologically massive theory with oneand two-form fields in the framework of BatalinFradkin-Tyutin embedding procedure. Through this analysis we obtain a new type of Wess-Jumino action with novel symmetry, which is originated from the topological coupling term, as well as the Stückelberg action related to the explicit gauge breaking mass terms from the original theory. Embedding of a 2D Graphene System in Non-Commutative Space
The BFT approach is used to formulate the electronic states in graphene through a non-commutative space in the presence of a constant magnetic field B for the first time. In this regard, we introduce a second class of constrained system, which is not gauge symmetric but by applying BFT method and extending phase space, the second class constraints converts to the first class constraints so th...
متن کاملSymplectic Embedding of a Massive Vector-Tensor Theory with Topological Coupling
In the symplectic Lagrangian framework we newly embed an irreducible massive vector-tensor theory into a gauge invariant system, which has become reducible, by extending the configuration space to include an additional pair of scalar and vector fields, which give the desired Wess-Zumino action. A comparision with the BFT Hamiltonian embedding approach is also done. PACS: 11.10.Ef, 11.30.Ly, 11....
متن کاملEmpirical Equivalence, Artificial Gauge Freedom and a Generalized Kretschmann Objection
Einstein considered general covariance to characterize the novelty of his General Theory of Relativity (GTR), but Kretschmann thought it merely a formal feature that any theory could have. The claim that GTR is “already parametrized” suggests analyzing substantive general covariance as formal general covariance achieved without hiding preferred coordinates as scalar “clock fields,” much as Eins...
متن کاملHamiltonian embedding of the massive Yang-Mills theory and the generalized Stückelberg formalism
Using the general notions of Batalin, Fradkin, Fradkina and Tyutin to convert second class systems into first class ones, we present a gauge invariant formulation of the massive Yang-Mills theory by embedding it in an extended phase space. The infinite set of correction terms necessary for obtaining the involutive constraints and Hamiltonian is explicitly computed and expressed in a closed form...
متن کاملEquivalence Classes for Gauge Theories
– In this paper we go deep into the connection between duality and fields redefinition for general bilinear models involving the 1-form gauge field A. A duality operator is fixed based on ”gauge embedding” procedure. Dual models are shown to fit in equivalence classes of models with the same fields redefinitions. Beside the importance of duality in understanding various non-perturbative aspects...
